I first got introduced to Papaji about two years ago, in 2013. I think it was at my Guru Amma’s ashram, where I first read a book about him, and his teachings. The book was called ‘Nothing ever happened’. He was an Enlightened Being, with a very rare method, used as his teaching. He did not encourage seekers, to go crazy about spiritual practice, or this or that, he simply asked them to “Keep Quiet”. He said, that you are ‘that’ who is there before even the thought comes, of who you are.Timeless, Omnipresent & Omnipotent.

Always pointing towards the formless self, he was more of a hit, with Westerners, since Western spiritual seekers, although drawn to Indian spiritual legacies, were less devotional in nature( Atleast half-of them, I would say), and Papajis method rang a bell with them.He was very charismatic, highly sweet in presence, and helped many mature spiritual seekers, gain either glimpses of their infinite nature, or complete realization. One of his most well-known disciples is the Jamaica born Mooji, who has become well-known all over the world as a highly realized soul, and who is a great teacher of Advaita Vedanta. I ampoonja-papajimooji pic also attaching a picture of Mooji, next to Papaji.
